Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kevin Stevenson has served as the Company’s president and chief executive officer since June 2017. From August 2015 to June 2017, Stevenson served as the Company’s president and chief administrative officer and from 2002 to August 2015, as the Company’s executive vice president, chief financial and administrative officer, treasurer, and assistant secretary. Prior to co-founding PRA Group with Steve Fredrickson in 1996, Stevenson held various positions with HRSC, including controller, and Household Bank, where he served as the controller of a regional processing center and managed the collections, technology, research and ATM departments. While at Household Bank, he participated in numerous bank and branch acquisitions as well as divestitures. Stevenson holds a B.S. of Accounting from The Ohio State University and is a certified public accountant. He currently serves on the boards of the Greater Norfolk Corporation and EQUI-KIDS.
Pete Graham serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer for PRA Group. Graham is a seasoned finance executive with more than 20 years focused on the financial services industry across a broad range of sectors including lending, leasing, insurance, and asset management. Prior to joining PRA in 2016, He spent 14-years with General Electric Company (GE), in a variety of executive finance roles within GE Capital. His previous positions within GE Capital include chief financial officer for GE Commercial Distribution Finance and GE Capital Markets. Graham also served as global controller for Treasury and Global Funding Operations and controller and manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for GE Asset Management. Prior to joining GE, Graham was with KPMG LLP for 10 years where he led audit and advisory teams serving clients in the financial services industry in insurance, banking, and asset management. His tenure with KPMG included three years living and working in Switzerland while leading teams across Europe. Graham earned his B.A. in accounting from the University of Connecticut and is also a certified public accountant.
Chris Graves serves as executive vice president, global investments and analytics officer, directing the Company’s data and analytics and portfolio acquisitions functions. Graves was appointed to his current role in 2020 after serving as executive vice president, Americas since 2015. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Graves joined PRA in 2006 as vice president, portfolio acquisitions and was appointed to senior vice president, Core Acquisitions in 2009. Prior to joining PRA, he was vice president of acquisitions and group manager for the Credit Recovery Services division of Capital One. He previously served as vice president and regional manager at Signet Bank and First Union. Graves has an M.B.A. from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Wake Forest University and graduated from the Consumer Banking Association’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia. Graves serves on the nonprofit boards of the ACCESS College Foundation, the United Way of South Hampton Roads, and the Virginia Aquarium Foundation.
Chris Lagow serves as general counsel and is responsible for the company’s global legal and regulatory functions. He was named to his current position in January 2016 after serving as PRA Group’s deputy general counsel since 2011. Lagow has been practicing law for 15 years and joined PRA in 2006 after working in private practice for law firms in New York and Virginia. He earned a B.A. degree from James Madison University and a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. Lagow has served on the board of directors of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Council of the Virginia Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Section.
Elizabeth Kersey serves as Senior Vice President, Communications & Public Policy for PRA Group. In this role, she leads PRA’s state and federal government relations efforts, oversees internal and external communications, executive communications, public and media relations, corporate giving, and employee engagement. Elizabeth has nearly twenty years of public affairs experience across various sectors including higher education and state and local government. Prior to joining PRA Group, she served as the Assistant to the President for Local, State, and Federal Government Relations at Old Dominion University. She has also served as the Director of State and Federal Government Relations for the City of Hampton, Virginia. Elizabeth worked for the State Council of Higher Education of Virginia, serving as the Director of Communications and Government Relations. Elizabeth is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and Old Dominion University. She currently serves on the boards of Virginia FREE, the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, and the Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
Steve Roberts serves as executive vice president, Europe, and corporate development. Prior to this role, Roberts was responsible for PRA’s global strategy and business development and directed the company’s Claims Compensation Bureau. He joined PRA in 2012 as president, business and government services, and was appointed to his current role in 2015. Roberts has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, operations, global manufacturing, and commercial banking. In 2006, he launched ShopText, a pay-for-performance mobile marketing and loyalty platform for Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods companies, media companies and retailers. At Interpublic, Roberts was chief operating officer of McCann Erickson’s direct marketing unit and chief financial officer of its diversified marketing services units. Previously, Roberts was chief financial officer of Modem Media, later acquired by Digitas, where he led the company’s IPO in 1999. At United Technologies, Roberts held P&L responsibilities at Otis Elevator and Carrier Air Conditioning in Asia and the U.S. He has an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago and a B.A. degree from Middlebury College.
Martin Sjölund serves as president of PRA Group Europe. Sjölund previously acted as directorgroup strategy and corporate development (Europe) of Aktiv Kapital from 2011 until 2014 when Aktiv Kapital was acquired by the Company. He held the same position with the Company until November 2015 when he was appointed chief operating officer – Europe. Prior to joining the Company, he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and strategy from 2009 to 2011 with Tandberg, which was acquired by Cisco Systems in April 2010, and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co in Singapore and London from 2005 to 2009. Sjölund holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Laura White serves as chief risk and compliance officer and has primary responsibility for the day-to-day implementation and oversight of the company’s risk management programs. White has direct and regular access to PRA’s board of directors and reports to the board’s risk committee. She has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry. White was previously chief risk and compliance officer for Allianz Global Assistance, Americas, where she was responsible for risk management and compliance, including operational risk, internal controls, business continuity and regulatory compliance. Before joining Allianz, she was senior manager of corporate planning for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and was a commissioned bank examiner for the Federal Reserve System. Prior to holding these positions, she was a senior financial analyst for Capital One Financial Corporation. White earned a B.S. degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University.
